9) The United Nations Association Australia will be holding a World Humanitarian Day to pay tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in Humanitarian Services around the world. This will be held at the Lendlease Building in Barangaroo on Monday 19th August 2019 from 8.30AM to 1.30PM. Dr Munjed Al Muderis will be one of the guest speakers. The cost to attend is $120. 10) Donate Life Week will be held from 28th July to 4th August. It would be wonderful if more Australians registered to become organ donors because at the moment there are more than 1400 people in Australia on waiting lists for a transplant. 14) The movie chosen for this year’s Polio Movie Night is “Ride Like a Girl”. This is the story of Michelle Payne, the first woman to win a Melbourne Cup. The movie is directed by Rachel Griffiths and stars Sam Neill and Teresa Palmer. It is due for general release from 26th September but will be available as a pre-release fundraiser for Polio for three weeks beforehand.
