The Foundation earned recognition for demonstrating both strong financial health, commitment to accountability and transparency. 10) A special message from Stephanie Woollard from the Seven Women Project. Stephanie is coming to Australia in November. She would like to contact any high schools that would like her to come and speak to the students. In the past Stephanie has found that by speaking to high school students, they become inspired by the fact that they can make a difference. It only takes $250 to keep a young girl in Nepal in school for 12 months. This pays for the student's school fees, school supplies and uniform. The longer a young girl can be kept in school, the greater are her chances of escaping poverty and having dignity in her community.
Stephanie is also seeking schools that would be interested in taking a 10 day cultural immersion tour to Nepal next year. Perhaps you have close ties with a local high school or perhaps your Rotary Club sponsors an Interact Club. If this is the case you may be able to assist Stephanie. Please let District Governor Dianne know if you are able to help.
Kindest Regards
