Club supporting Daffodil Day Appeal

The Club will be supporting Daffodil day this Friday 23rd August selling merchandise to raise funds at Campbelltown and Leumeah stations.

Let's start talking men's mental health

It’s not always easy to talk about mental health (especially with your mates) but what can feel like an uncomfortable conversation could be the one that saves a life.

Suicide is the leading cause of death in men under 44 years and with men 3 times more likely to suicide than women, we think it’s time we start talking men’s mental health in Macarthur.

Join us for our Men's Long Lunch on Friday 18th October to open up the conversation about men's mental health. We'll hear personal accounts from men that have struggled and survived mental illness and now support others to succeed.

DG Dianne would like to thank all the District 9675 team members who participated in the City2Surf last Sunday. It was a very successful day. Over $6000 was raised which will go to The Australian Rotary Health 'Mental Health and Young Australians 0-25 Years Project'. Congratulations also to the amazingly dedicated Rotary volunteers. Dianne was thrilled to see so many happy, smiling faces at Hyde Park and all along the route. She enjoyed stopping to chat to the many volunteers she saw and also to have an encouraging hug. Thank you to all.

10) Barnardos Australia urgently needs foster carers who can welcome children into their hearts and their homes. Children who need foster care have been removed from their families because of abuse and neglect. Barnardos need people who can care for children temporarily. Their families are supported so they will be able to care for their children safely in the future. Families are needed who can care for pre-school and primary school aged children, and groups of siblings. As a Barnardos Foster Carer, you will be provided with regular support, training and an allowance to help you care for the child. Barnardos works in partnership with the carers, working towards positive outcomes for children in our community. The help you give foster children will change their future. Barnardos believe their carers change children's lives. If you or anyone you know has ever thought about foster care, call 1800 663 441 or visit Barnardos.org.au/wecare   (See attachment for details).

The Four Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
