CAMPBELLTOWN, NSW — 25 March 2026 — In a powerful demonstration of community spirit and gratitude, the eight Rotary Clubs of the Macarthur region came together to host the inaugural **Rotary Clubs of Macarthur First Responders Awards**. The landmark event formally recognises the outstanding contributions of both paid and volunteer emergency service personnel who risk their lives to protect the local community.
The collaborative initiative unites the Rotary Clubs of Camden, Campbelltown, Gregory Hills Next-Gen, Ingleburn, Macarthur Sunrise, Narellan, Picton, and Wollondilly North. Grounded in Rotary’s international motto, “Service Above Self,” the awards celebrate the exceptional community service, bravery, and dedication of personnel across five core emergency agencies:
* Fire and Rescue New South Wales
* New South Wales Ambulance
* New South Wales Rural Fire Service
* New South Wales State Emergency Service (SES)
* St John Ambulance
A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to local New South Wales State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers. Campbelltown Rotary Club President Bobby Narain expressed his immense pride and gratitude while presenting the accolades to the frontline volunteers.
"It was an absolute privilege and delight to present these awards to our local SES volunteers," said President Bobby Narain. "When natural disasters, severe storms, and emergencies strike the Macarthur region, these volunteers leave the safety of their homes to safeguard ours. These awards are a small token of our immense appreciation for their unwavering selflessness and dedication to community safety."
The Rotary Clubs of Macarthur extend their deepest congratulations to all the award recipients and nominees, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to supporting the region’s vital first responders.
